I'm Blythe, the scribbler behind Little Yellow Scribbles. I love bright colours, playful patterns, silly doodles and passionate about childlike design.

I began the journey of beginning my own business whilst studying and seeking to gain industry experience. I wanted to get ahead of the game and graduate with relevant experience to land me my *dream job*, however on the way found out that I loved freelancing and haven't stopped since.

I studied Design for Print at Heriot Watt University, specialising in children's illustration and surface pattern design in my last two years. I was delighted to win an internship with Bernet Klein and to gain industry recognition from Clintons and Marks + Spencer's at New Designers for my honours project.

Beginning as a 3 month summer internship and then progressing to a permanent intern, I have loved working for this independent interiors company in Edinburgh. Work included assisting textile courses, oversee marketing, content writing, website updates, inventory and publicity through social platforms, Mailchimp, and Excel.
Freelance Graphic Designer, DUFI-Art

Beginning as a week of work experience, this opportunity has continually grown each year. I loved working in the studio for 2 weeks in 2018 + 2019, as well as and 6 weeks in 2021, and now work remotely as a contracted freelancer. Clients have included Strathallan School, The Record, Tain District + Development Trust, as well as Whyte + Mackay Distillery.

Whilst studying I began to sell my work, starting off by screen printing t-shirts I eventually grew my business into what it is today, specialising in illustration and print. I love to doodle, scribble and create products!
